Watching the Nation undergo surgical strikes at capitalism and on real truths, or cutting away what you don’t like without consent is what’s happening. Now.

I was horrified to find out that many people don’t want to know. They purposefully keep themselves ignorant so they, “Have a SMILY FACE Day”.

That ain't gonna get ‘er done.

You know what I am really concerned about? In our society, especially this politically charged one where we are having to expunge Communist/Marxist from the President’s hand-selected advisors?

Golfers. Men Golfers. Especially Men Golfers who are married with kids. You know who they are.

Their golfing. They’re pissing and moaning about how they get a slice or a lousy chip shot, or they cry because they went over par, bang at a little ball with a stick for hours at a time and pop anti-depressants because they fudged a score and don’t know why. It’s all very “The Last 300 Spartans” to them. I think they should at least write their congressman or Senator, too.

I played golf in college for a semester, a few times here and there throughout my life, played at Settlers Bay in Wasilla, home of Sarah Palin (I fished in her lake and lived about 15 miles away so we are from the same ilk so to speak - Alaskans), San Diego (Tecalote Canyon where I hole in oned the last hole with a six iron), and gorgeous Taft or some godforsaken place in the California desert. So at least I don’t have my face pressed against the Candy Store Golf Shop window.

Everybody deserves a chance to relax. Golf probably can be relaxing. But don’t they see? Where all this is going - the political direction? I mean, if "the Ultimate State" is going to start telling farmers how much water they can use and for what crop (we own our own well, too), do you really think that golf courses are going to fly under the radar? Those golf courses would make very nice community gardens or affordable housing for the newly wealthy poor who can swing a home through ACORN (now defunct due to corruption). Think I’m kidding? We, as farmers are already feeling the tentacles at work behind the scenes even in California as this is where much of the nation’s food is grown. And due to the population and drought, a dwindling water supply. You may live in Michigan where there's plenty of water, but your food comes from here.

Am I overreaching on the golf thing? It’s symbolic. And I will use the Death Panels (Doctors who are paid to consult with the elderly - which you shall be someday - on your choice in life - die or live another ten years). And lets say that that Death Panel choice is at the age of 70. This year. How many years will they cut from your parents life if the Health Care overload is driving us deeper into the hole?

Remember what Obama said - that if they find they cannot fund Health Care at a certain point, they will strip from elsewhere to make ends meet.

Yes, all this is headed somewhere: Lowering longevity and using your Social Security to pay for another's health. And of course the rationing you all are seeing now with the flu shots.

Women over 40, Single, Who Want Freedom, Experiences and Their Life Back

In reality, I think this whole thing is going to be rescued by the women. Men seem to save themselves for football, golf, basketball, and soccer and other spectator sports that require a beer to get the feel of living. Beer goggles.

These are spectator sports. Our political system - we are making it a spectator sport that we cry and hurrah over depending on who wins but what men don’t realize - and women do - is that you can’t walk away from this game; turn off the TV and the results disappear. When you open the door to your house, in a year, to a knock, you will wonder what they want this time - what will you have to give up or get a meter on to make sure you’re a good citizen.

This is it in a nutshell, without the symbols: You cannot grow an economy to create jobs without money. If the only growth is in government jobs, and government has never made money, only spent it, then that money is not available for the current economy to thrive.

So women, forget the men if they seem to love their spectator sports a bit much . But that ain’t going to save this country from the Van Joneses and the Acorns and the fellow that they are going to can or have canned (conflicting reports) from the White House for having that conference call (the knock at the door) that asked the National Endowment for the Arts and artists nationwide to commence art projects in support of Obama’s healthcare and other initiatives. No, its not harmless -- to create art to forward a government's policies. It's illegal, and can destroy the balance of nature. Political speech nature.

And if enough women care, I think they can make a good American out of our President. He seems to have the intellect and the chops - it's justhis mental well was poisoned long ago by surrounding himself with people like Bill Ayers (bombed the Pentagon), and the Rev. Wrights of his life, the ACORNS that fed him along the way up. He could be very good for the good old USA but right now, its pretty pathetic - what he’s doing not only to this country but to what will be the historical record for the first "man of color" President, Americans elected, and what he did with the newfound power and glory.

It Never Hurts To Be Funny

Especially in today's political environment who's principle players are having such a devastating relationship with Americans. From a farmer's perspective, so much dirt is being found on the key Administrations players you have to have a sense of humor just to walk through all the manure to get to that one rose. That one rose. Hmmmm. It does look so beautiful way off in the distance. That orange red rose.

You have to have a stout shovel to shovel the cow flop out of your way and bull dozer sometimes to uncover truth today. Or you can google a source. Takes about 10 seconds. We have friends who refuse to now. Things are going that badly for them inside: they voted for the wrong fellow. He isn't what he said he was going to be.

If you want to tidy it up with rhetoric - although It’s beginning to stick in the craw of American voters of any academic beyond high school - thugpins have to have five television networks to sugar coat the worst of policy - like the healthcare issue. Said otherwise, controlling the media is very helpful in a Chavez like “reorganization”. Just go with pinstriped business attire and nix the convict-orange jumpsuit. And try not to act chummy with Chaves on TV as his jumpsuit clashes with Amerians' perception of the America we are watching disappear. And our days become way too anxious. It’s better not to know. The direction. That way, we don't implicate ourselves.

Of course, a farmer sees through all the manure like he has x-ray vision. He or she deals with truth. Mother Nature. Ever found a liberal or left wing farmer unless it was at a commune? Is that what you, farmer, want? A commune on you property to help you make decisions?

Read up (google) on Redistribution of Wealth and Property Redistribution and Social Justice. Its like being skinned alive - watching America go that route. Funny. Sort of. If you consider it is almost pure Marxism we are watching “unfold” in an obfuscation of truths.

Is that the beautiful rose we see at the end of the manure? If it is - it’s not a bit funny as we lose everything, eventually, and you lose, and the have-nots get your toys, and land and get to indoctrinate your children (seen the new video about STUFF circulating in schools - your kids are required to watch. ).

Think you have trouble with your neighbors now? Just wait. We already are seeing fallout here- people now on the property - thinking it's ok to harvest because Obama is President. Of course, that’s California”. So google and find out that it’s always California that leads the way, be it bankruptness or marxism. It always leads the way. Google San Francisco politics, income redistribution, social justice, economic justice. It’s all coming your way - a Super-Twister in an orange-jumpsuit. These words will bleed a vibrant America and spend it down to a flat, dry, Sahara desert.

But the democrats will have their power - that’s important. They finally won. Something. Dems made the history books. And they can print whatever they like.

For Serious Farms Only - The Faint of Heart Need Not Read

Dear Farmer -

We at White Dove Farm would like you to stay aware of the political situation in order to stay ahead of it. As we all see the general trend of illegal immigration and healthcare for our American elderly beginning to swap around, we need to turn it, and other issue around to keep American farms in your hands, the owner's hands. What am I talking about is the creeping income and property redistribution philosophy that is an undercurrent now reaching an almost pervasiveness in the farm environment - often right under our noses and in our case, we were participating in it.

What I am talking about here are about three or four phrases you may find in the mission statement of those you are doing business with. If it is a dot.org, that does not negate them from having this phrase - as we were doing business with such: selling our fruit, them coming by and picking it up and then reselling in a "harmless" farm-to-school scenario. The "school" was the upper echelon staff.

The phrases that are the immediate signposts are:

Social and economic justice or

Social Justice

Economic Justice

Income redistribution

Property redistribution (including farmland)

These are the "clear and present danger" phrases of any Marxism type movement and I will leave it up to you to google them in your spare time. I do not want you to take my word for it. The bread crumbs and cheese leads to Kelsonian Economics (redistribution of wealth) and who created the economic model. Not all who use the terms actually realize what they are getting into. On the face, they sound warm and fuzzy. When you see all the key words together in a mission statement it is a bold statement that indicates it is a radicalized group.

And don't be surprised if often you see the word' "democracy" in their statements. It's smoke. The key words are the above.

Please write your Senators and other congressional leader about any of your concerns. This is no conspiracy theorist issue - these are facts. You can prove it to yourself by looking up these terms, convince yourself of their true nature, then google any large liberal city around you and put in at google: That city, then in quotes, "mission Statement" and the phrases "social Justice", "economic justice" and then social and economic justice without quotes. Always, something will turn up, it is always a dot.org and they can be receiving Federal and State funds.

We don't write about our farm as the political atmosphere is such we feel it more important to secure it from the new political movement that would have us redistrubute it to those who wish not to work for a living (We have had no one stop by to look for work here in about 5 years), but there are plenty on the dole: We go grocery shopping and the food stamps are like confetti and WISK coupons are the money of choice. Yet no one is looking for a job - and you would see by aerial photos of our farm if you go to an appropriate site, we are the FIRST farm next to the town.

I can’t believe that out of over 300 small farms I have only had one person who showed any sign of care about how the current administration is taking over our lives - its called creeping Marxism, folks. Please care or lose it all in the future

Am I in the NRA? No. John Birch? No. Militia?. No. Educated. Yes. Astronomy Club. Yes. Artists union - I dropped out three times. Age, 59. background: Geologist, Oil field engineer, hazardous waste, all retired, and farming for 11 years now.

Why am I concerened? We as farmers have a lot to lose. If you think you “control a food source” and it will give you insulation from the modern progressives' (see dictionary) idea of social and economic justice - forget that. Right now there are “orgs” - the dot orgs that are creeping into the small farm community and buying mostly food items under the guise of “from farm to you” and you can substitute any word for the “you” - could be school, urban, children.

And when you read their dot.org mission statement - if they haven’t already erased it due to the media attention on the phrases - you might find “Economic and social justice, and / redistribution. Check it out. The dot.org may seem nice but their underlying future objectives are to establish a presence and be up and running - which they are. That is, if they have those key words in their mission statement. They are right under my own inquisitive nose and have been for the past three years. We no longer do business with them. Cost $1500 in business.

Don’t take my word for it. Check them out for yourself if you do business with them. I can’t baby-sit everyone. I’m having trouble keeping up the the loads of dirt the Obama crowd keeps dumping here in California where ACORN.org had or had 37,000 members a’workin’ on creating a better future for you. Boy, that was an eyeopener, wasn't it? These organizations spring up around radical academic's such as Berkeley and the San Francisco area. I am sure you have such cities in your state, too.

I don’t want to lose this country just because it was more important to write about chickens and pigs and fruit and and birds. Right now the country desperately needs every small farmer to pass the truth along.

Please write. If you are afraid to write - tell us what you want to say and we will do it for you - we will leave your name out and send your concerns to whomever you want.

I will give you an example of the power of the net.

The National Endowment for the Arts was found to have been used by the White House to encourage left-wing artists to create art that would further Obama’s policies -

Well, that was unacceptable as soon as I heard it on the news and that night I went through the local art people with web sites, all of Craigslist and the artist on it in Orange, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. I stopped at one hundred exactly. I described the issues - The White House using the NEA to compel artists across the nation (who they give grants to) IS COMPLETELY ILLEGAL!

So I sent 100 e-mails to complete strangers, got some really great hate mail - all about racism although they never bothered to ask me what color my skin was - but I did get a handful of artists, some very young, some females with some big confidence and heart - and they promised they would do what they could. Use their email lists and facebook and pass the word.

Guess what? The next day or the day after the fellow who was responsible for those “hopefully safe conversations" they had as a conference call from the White House to the National Endowments for the Arts (the entity that distributes grants to artists, grants = 50 million from Obama), was “reassigned. FIRED! Below is an email I received today from those emails sent to the NEA

We did that. Ourselves and people like us who reached out, contacted strangers who are like-minded, and this happened in every city (without anyone contacting me as part of an organization), and berg and across the 50 states, and like a wave it hit the White House. A tsunami of citizen artists speaking out against the evil's of corruption of the process (using taxpayer money to fund partisan policy - and buying that favor ahead of time with 50 million dollars of money to the NEA).

So right now, a bunch of "local, numb-skull, flaky artists" have the "American Small Farmers" nation-wide beat hands-down on overall, "Give-a-shit quotient".

Pissing Off the Pope

I knew a nice day couldn't last. The new criteria for flu shots is that healthy elderly persons will not be allowed them.

If that's not rationing, then I don't know what is - rationing.

It's still not clear if illegal immigrants below senior age will preempt our healthy American citizens who are elderly. You see, that would include a lot of gang members -which would piss off even the Pope.

83 percent of people like their own Healthcare insurance.

45 percent of doctors said they will seek to retire/quit if the Healthcare Bill passes (to much work - too many patients - doctors are already overworked - the level of patient care will decline because of the next issue:

Healthcare is to “protect” the uninsured 45 million. Doctors also know that if you took 45 million people and put them into an already stressed system, that new line of people is shoulder-to-shoulder around the entire equator - 25,000 miles of one line of people. The first person in line is looking at the back of the last person in line. 25,000 miles for one line into the healthcare system.

And those people will now go to your doctor for every little thing they think they have - including every indigent, every college student who doesn’t want to take a test, every illegal immigrant. Now they have it openly. And if they do have to pay something for it, in some way, they certainly are damn well going to get their moneys worth. We know that drill.

Obama will necessarily have to import doctors from other countries as nobody is going to medical school here in America under those conditions. So learn your Spanish. Unless you pay doctors even more handsomely - which makes them another bureaucrat with a gov. paycheck now.

I do not know of anyone who would aspire to be a doctor - regardless of why - who was raised in America and wants to dole out sub-par medicine. Young people I have talked to seem to think it better to go to "an Ethiopia" where they could practice medicine and be appreciated instead of "rationing care" as they watch the old folks die in pain instead of having surgical procedures to prolong quality of life.

One last item on this; If doctors work for the government, can they be sued for malpractice? If not, is that how you get away with slipshod medicine? Is that how Obama is going to handle tort reform? Keep in mind attorneys contributed vast amounts to Obama's presidential election. So I think they will feed off the carcasses of Healthcare - whatever's left. I cannot even visualize that picture.

Well, the government says the burden is going to be on those who make more that about 200K a year. Most know that number is going to gouge downward due to:

a. There has never been a government project not so full of pork it didn’t ooze a liquified version like a Slim Jim in a vise.

b. Government underestimates costs to get projects funded. Healthcare is a project.

c. I've never heard of a government anything that did not cost more, much, much more than the original price even if the estimators were being honest. We all remember the $800 toilet seat issue.

d. The cost of materials is always going to go up, never down, be it plastic for syringes or syringes themselves, or the money you have to pay unions to work the jobs inside the Obama system. Recall when the the Air Traffic Controllers went on strike. President Reagan said, “Tough” and fired them. The unions dramatically enabled Obama election so fat chance of any Reagan toughness there.

The cost of sleeping with the unions will past to the consumer. Consumers will not be able to afford unions in the costs of the products they create, the demand will go down, their will be layoffs and the unions will demand a bailout from their bedpartner. The evil cycle continues.

e. Superimposed on all the above is inflation. Now two and five percent doesn’t sound like much on a dollar or two but on 12 trillion new healthcare burden it's a bit much. Also, this inflation creates a round of wage increases (unions) along with the Standard Operating Procedure of the yearly wage increases “just to keep up with the price of living” (inflation) - the new price of healthcrare. HA! The evil cycle continues.

d. The Healthcare bill - a basic vote for huge government - is creating a huge government payload that has to be supported with our taxes, which adds to “e” above. Case in point: The Obama stimulus package created 25,000 new jobs - government jobs. Those slots have to have benefits, SS, and retirement. His vision is to have a huge government oversee our wealth. It needs a huge government payroll load that doesn’t end if the job does. This is just in the first 8 months of an idea. We have over three years to go with these "adjustments."

This list of negatives almost infinite. Changing a system that 83 percent of Americans think is fine, just to cover the 6 percent who CAN’T get insurance because they are illegal or otherwise, is folly. It's destructive. We will go down.

If Obama really wants to impress us he would educate himself beyond the radical ‘60’s philosophy. I was there, it was nice to have the adolescent college mentality of: we have nothing as college students therefore we should sunder the capitalistic system and distribute it for all to share. Because it’s fun to give other people’s stuff away. And maybe the people we gave it to will like us enough to vote us in again.

The problem with this free-for-all is that it last about a minute:

Congratulations, you and Obama have looted the system- those who create the jobs that America thrives upon - it is the basic ingredient to a healthy economy - you've forced small businesses and large businesses into other countries that might appreciate their innovation, ingenuity, creativity and lack of laziness much more that America and you single-handedly - through your vote - stifled economic growth.

If you really think the stimulus has worked you can see for yourself by this simple act:

Type in Toyota.com, Gm.com, Honda.com and see how the stimulus package TEMPORARILY gave bump to “traffic” - and now the downward trend continues.

Erase those and replace with ebay.com and craigslist.com and also see the downward trends - and this is what I call the junk trend - people selling goods and services to stay alive. A big garage sale. But even buyers are holding on to their money. And people look like they are running out of junk to sell.

You can watch the economy on a weekly basis at these sites (others arequantacast.com and compete.com) and you don’t have to take anyone’s word for anything about how the economy is moving.

One last thing: You know Obama is a lawyer and so is his wife. We all have the jokes about lawyers and we all know that these jokes are nested in the truth and if you have ever listened to Obama at his TelePrompTer speeches he will ALWAYS SAY, to give him a way out, he says, “I believe this to be...” But he never says that it actually will be. He just “believes” it might - but never really knows or wants to be held accountable. That would be another lie for the history books.

I am not surprised, if he said, with everything, Obama ALLEGEDLY BELIEVES that this or that might work. But who knows, that day may be just around the corner. That he allegedly believes everything just to cover tracks back to Rev. Wright, BIll Ayers, Unions, the NEA 50 million, ACORN, Marxist Van Jones, the TIDES Foundation, and the Apollo foundation (wrote the stimulus package).

America, you are scaring me to death with your gullablness and apathy. Please write your representatives.

Ok, let’s see:

The economy is upside down. The healthcare bill threatens every blue collar, white collar, upper and middle class working family across the nation.

The government is going to handle your kids student loans so not only can everyone go to college, no matter what their grades (which should really do wonders for the level of education he or she will receive), your kids and their kids can pay the government back with mandatory work and do a career gov. would like: If they need hamburger flippers at a soup kitchen, you flip hamburgers for 7 years to pay them back.

Those who WORKED while they were in college - did it the hard way - have a 7 year head-start on you. Your resume says, “Hamburger Fipper”.

Everyone will be taxed except the super poor. As you tax away my venture dollars, I’m not investing and employing your kid. Get it? And everyone has already bought back failing small businesses, twice, in hopes of having a second job to support the family. So they're not employing your kid, either. Guess what - no more millionaires, the American Dream's finished. Think about it. The whole idea behind having a small business was the promise of wealth. But if you TAKE from me even more after I make over 200K, I probably won't want to expand beyond that - or I will move my money to another country and invest. Either way, you or your kid won't get a job from me.

Illegal immigrants have more voice in the country than our poor parents because the Obama Healthcare program is going to cut deeply into our parent’s SURVIVAL- to give it to the uninsured - which the illegals are - for the most part. They are considered legally criminals until their status is redefined. So we are going to allow it to be taken, no, RIPPED away from our fragile parents, and GIVE IT to a criminal element numbering in the millions. I give their kids a pass as they are just doing their kid thing and are innocent. Their anchor babies were pawns in gaming the American system.

Our women in Afghanistan are out on a real limb - eight years for the lifers, one and two for the grunts. The men too.. We are losing in Afghanistan. And we are suppose to have the greatest military globally. And this was Obama’s “good war”. And we are fighting hill people in the stone age - but they have cell phones (don’t we have them, too?) . Nobody's deciding our next move. So a couple of women and men get killed while we wait around for a decision. David Letterman gets more time with Obama selling healthcare than Afganistan’s General McCrystal gets (one meeting in 70 days) who runs the Afgan theater. Is that hands on, hands off or because Obama hasn't a clue as to how to "community organize" the Taliban, he looks busy as hell elsewhere? You decide.

All the above is laying around in plain site - for all to see - and we have a president who seems to think that taking a run to Copenhagen with the Color Purple Woman and fulfilling his promise to the Chicago Machine is important - the Olympics in the Windy CIty. They want the Olympics in the most corrupt city in the United States. That is what Obama wants. We caused, America caused, the entire meltdown of the global economy (selling the bad paper on the housing bubble) and Obama wants to have the world community tour the epicenter of American corruption. Really?

I wish someone would tell me what is going on with our country because it has taken a turn not on the map I've carried, as a normal human, since I started logical thought. And as far as a moral compass to guide a family through democracy, that thing exploded when it heard Van Jones was a self-avowed Communist and Obama hand-picked Van Jones as his personal Green Jobs Czar. Let Congress Take Their Own Medicine (Healthcare package)

The Senate health committee voted to move along a two-page amendment that would require all Members and staff to enroll in any new government-run health plan they want to force on the American people.

ACORN is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that advocates for a variety of social issues such as voter registration and affordable housing. You may be interested to know that the House of Representatives and the Senate have voted toprohibit federal funds from being distributed to ACORN. On September 14, 2009, I voted in favor of an amendment to the "Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act" (H.R. 3288) for fiscal year 2010, which would prohibit federal funding provided by the bill from being distributed to ACORN or its subsidiaries. This amendment was agreed to in the Senate by a vote of 83-7. On September 17, 2009, the Senate passed H.R. 3288 with the amendment by a vote of 73-25.

On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act into law, which includes $2 billion for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP). Please be assured that this legislation contains no earmarks, and no funding is directed to ACORN. Funding will be allocated by HUD through a competitive grant program. All recipients must exhibit adequate need, have a demonstrable ability to apply the funds effectively and appropriately, and abide by HUD's "Guide to NSP Eligible Uses", which outlines requirements for how funding may be utilized.

The only issue I have with the Senator is the sex-slavery with illegal (smuggled in), underaged girls and trying to acquire loans for a brothel are not mentioned. As the allegations are not proved, I can see why she did not mention them.

Budget Office Sidelined So Healthcare Passes

Yes. That nasty CBO that oversees the words, 'Deficit Neutral" for the President's Healthcare plan has been benched as their constant oversight is standing in the way of the bill's progress.

The whole idea of the CBO is to check and double check figures so the bill is truly deficit neutral. It must not be.

So: Within a 24 span, Humana Hospital has had a gag order put on it for telling its patients (the truth) that their service is going to be cut back under Obama's healthcare bill and the Central Budget Office that oversees the number crunchers who inspect the Healthcare bill has been neutralized.

Is anybody getting this? The power being wielded by the White House? I am stunned

What to hear the really bad part? The people who are going to be effected the most - by their untimely and painful passings (our loyal American senior citizens) - really don't have representation, they can't use the internet to cry out for fairness and worst of all, half of them are Democrats and can't reach their senators and congressmen and women to tell them they don't want to cut five and ten years off their life just to give it to an illegal immigrant.

So would somebody please help these unrepresented senior American folks? We are a shameful society, aren't we, right now, anyway. But Michelle Obama has finally been able to "be proud for the first time of America" - her words, not mine.

Earlier we posted words key for farmers in business with the dot-orgs under the benign guise of “good for society”. The key phrases were:

And if you found them in your dot org’s mission statement it's highly likely that they have socialistic ideals - which means they want to redistribute your farm or ranch in some fashion - the future for social justice.

How did we get nailed? About 20 minutes after we posted I received a phone call tip that one of our own buyers had “Social Justice” in their mission statement. We checked it out and BOOM - there it was, for three years we have been doing business with them. And as our name is associated with their web site, we have egg all over us as one would assume since they promote social justice - so do farms and ranches that sell to them.

Eventually, folks, these social justice people are going to want a piece of you and your farm - so keep looking - it helps - it just helped us straighten out one messy issue.

Right under everyone's nose - even ours? Unbelievable.

Humana Hospital's Free Speech Denied by White House's Dept of Health and Human Services - Denies

Humana Hospital tried to get the word out that some its services will be denied under the Obama Healthcare bill and the Department of Health and Human Services came down on Humana Hospital like a ton of bricks - stifled its free speech rights by getting a GAG ORDER against the hospital. From telling the truth? Trying to help its patients?

Hey. Folks. This is the FIRST AMENDMENT. The right to free speech. Constitutional judges are calling this illegal and outright intimidation of Humana Hospital and a "perfect example of "government intimidation."

In the meantime, AARP can say just about whatever it wants. Yes, the AARP that was at the podium besides Obama. That AARP.

Healthcare for all - The Ultimate Consequences

The Obama plan is a giant tax increase for much of the American people (not just the rich).

According to the Congressional Budget Office, the average uninsured person or family will have to pay between 15 and 20 percent of his or their total income on health insurance

Having spent the entire campaign speaking [Obama speaking] about "affordable" coverage, it turns out the program is not at all affordable, but a massive new tax on the average uninsured American.

Beware fuzzy-wuzzy dot-orgs. Not LocalHarvest as they have no political agenda that I am the least concerned about. They has been paradyme shifters in food to folks from the start.

But again, be wary of some dot-orgs. Dot-Orgs suggest benevolene and working for a break-even point and the greater good of Mankind. All sounds so soft and candy-landish. ACORN wasn't just ACORN, it's acorn.org. Of course, due to its "social justice" stance and activities, it's now agonner.org.

What I have found are some worrisome key words and phrases that you might like to know about. The most dangerous to farms are the following - and you will likely see these mentioned in sundry dot orgs' Mission Statements. You can sometimes get it on Google or you have to go right to the web site.

The two most dangerous key phrases in any mission statement for the farmer are:

Social Justice

Describe SOCIAL JUSTICE to me then!

Quote (wikipedia) - Social Justice

The term "social justice" is often employed as a euphemism [trying to make a word sound better than it actually is for society] by the political left to describe a society with a greater degree of economic egalitarianism ( in short, share the wealth), which may be achieved through

progressive taxation,

income redistribution,

property redistribution

Property redistribution - giving away your property or sharing your property with another - who has less.

That's social justice. Social Justice, SOCIAL JUSTICE! You see those words - RUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNN from that site and do no business with them.

So What is Ecomomic Justice? It has a nice ring to it too?

ECONOMIC JUSTICE - the redistribution of wealth. Same as social justice. You have a farm that grows food and folks feel food is a right so they can have it at a price set by government. This one is so scary for a farmer you have to look it up for yourself.

Food and Shelter - Property Redistribution

Shelter such as: 1. affordable housing. 2. Fanny Mae Freddy Mac debacle of forced lending tactics on banks (ACORN) for homes to those who could not afford it - WHICH BROUGHT THE ENTIRE COUNTRY TO ITS KNEES - Thank you Barny Franks (Dem).

I would like to provide two examples of dot orgs that look and sound nice but when you read mission statements - wow. And Double Wow. I am taking quotes from their posted mission statements.

But first, here is a normal/nice mission statement from the Davis Farm to School program:

Below are two radical agenda mission Statements. Read on. It will toast your mind. And please don’t think that only California has these - all states have some form of them, just with different names.

We envision a California food system in which all activities, from farm to table, are equitable, healthful, regenerative andcommunity-driven (they get a say-so, ie, they are your new business partners).

Community Alliance with Family Farmers

“CAFF seeks to build a movement of rural and urban people to foster family-scale agriculture that cares for the land, sustains local economies andpromotes social justice. They support farm to school programs in various regions – Ventura, Yolo, Santa Cruz, Fresno, Sonoma and the North Coast.”

The key words are nested in the mission’s text - plain for all to see.

I found the above two examples quite easily

Places to look - and just because I post them does not mean they are complicit, I just found some nested in and amongst CFJ below. I mean, the word JUSTICE sounds great, but it ain’t - its a trigger word for socialism. Don’t believe me, please check out definitions yourself.

Collaborative projects of the Center for Food & Justice (CFJ), a division of the Urban & Environmental Policy Institute at Occidental Collegeand the Community Food Security Coalition (CFSC).

Projects included under the Center for Food and JUSTICE are:

• Farm to School (I checked this one and it seems fine)

• Healthy School Food Coalition & LAUSD Programs

• Farm to Hospital

• The Grocery Accountability Project (GAP)

• Healthy After-School Snack Program

• Los Angeles Fresh Food Access Program

I will leave it to other farms to come up with others which have the trigger words of a socialist society. And some, besides SOCIAL JUSTICE, JUSTICE, ECONOMIC JUSTICE, and “Community”. If it sounds like you are going to have new business partners, it's socialism.

So:

When one talks about social and economic justice, the bread crumbs always lead back to Kelsonian Economics. For a farm, a disaster. Actually, for any business, a disaster. If you own a farm or any business, this is good to know about.

Kelsonian Microeconomic -

Justice-Based Management - ..is a Kelsonian system for building and sustaining an ownership culture into successive generations of employees ...where a system of participatory ownership where risk, rewards and responsibilities are shared among many co-owners.

Pretty scary, and insidious stuff . If you are a conservative you likely take my word for it - but don’t. I could be part of the "radical right MOB".

If you are the other guy, you will whisper, “Shhhhhh. It’s a secret.” and I will get a lot of hate e-mail from your group. No substance, just hate and as always, when there is no defense, no knowledge. And when they know we have seen their dirty underwear - Like the ACORN issue with the child sex-slave prostitution ring - they play the race card. Gosh, they don't even know what color we are, either.

And that's when you know you've got them with their backs against the wall. : ). Let's keep them there for the next three years with some rope a dope.

Too Many Secrets

Social Justice and Economic Justice. If you own your home or business or farm, these are scary words - sort of a death knell. Social justice and economic justice.

If you look them up - Google or Wikipedia - you'll find exactly what they mean. Don't take my word for it. You'll see why folks seem overly concerned about the direction America is headed.

Why I think it is ultimately important for President Obama tobecome More American - and really succeed as our President.

I think this is important. Why? Well, I remember how I felt on 9-11. We were all, finally, one race of people - the human race, and united against the new evils of the world that hit New York, killing the 3,000.

Of course, that only lasted until those who made their living race-baiting, went to work on the minorities just to keep their status. That is my opinion. So we lost all the ground. You know who they are as they show up on most of the mainstream media getting their poison out.

Then Obama was elected president and that was a good thing. Where were all the people claiming that a minority couldn't rise up in the ranks if they worked at it? They hardly even supported his candidacy! And they were very, very quiet now, with the race issue. And we were back tonormal.

I think the new president gave minorities hope there wasn't this churned up - mostly from inside race - racism they would have to conquer. Rap stars slowed and nearly ceased disgusting rhetoric on cop killing, whitey, etc.

But it didn't last but 7 months and those who make their living on sensationalism or slanted news just couldn't let it be either - the president doing a job and getting slapped around like all presidents do. Now its all race-based.

I disagree with just about everything he does as I don't want to see creeping Marxism corrupt America, but what I did was questioned whether my objections were race-based.

Am I against Obama's policies because he's black? Don't know, yet. I took it to the next step and said, "Ok, lets pretend Obama isn't black, he's white." Would I still go along with his program." No. I like my farm and my land and I do not want to share it with anyone as I worked for it - they did not. I failed and lost everything three times but I made it back. And I don't like his "redistribute the wealth" idea via the social and economic justice you see in all their sub-organizations' rhetoric (mission statements).

Then I asked myself the ultimate question, and you may want to do the same if you are a left-leaner, independent or a liberal - or just call yourself a Democrat.

So sit down, take a few deep breaths, a sip of water as the tester straps a lie detector to your arm.

The needle on the detector shows a mild, jiggly line as he asks you the standard questions for readings on your normal state. But you know the question's coming - and you're beginning to sweat. He asks a few more questions, more political, easy ones. And then he asks it:

"Would you vote for Obama's Healthcare plan if he was George Bush?

Silence and introspection. Butterflies in the abdomen. Brain begins twisting and throbbing.

"Would you vote for healthcare policies if they were George Bush's ideas?

Now I've made you uncomfortable. But you answer.

He scribbles in his notebook, looks over the top of his glasses at you. Scribbles some more in his notes.

Then he asks another. You're sweating and shaking and because he sees the line starting to rise, he asks:

"Would you vote for Heathcare if the bill was George Bushe's ....but George Bush was an African American?"

The needle is getting really wacky now and red ink sputters from the tiny jet. You can't see straight and the blood is pounding in your neck.

"Would you vote for the bill if Bush was president today and George Bush was a black man? "What is your answer- yes or no?" If the needle says you're lying we take everything you own. Those were the conditions you accepted. Even your flat screen tV and remote. And your business income.

The subject faints dead away. It's just too confusing to his gut.

Introspection. What would we do without it?

National Endowment for the Arts Obamatons

In a nutshell, the White House and the National Endowment for the Arts (which gets taxpayer money and funds art projects (doles out grants)) had a HUGE conference all to the art communities leaders and others. It was recorded because it, the conversation, had an scary texture - it was a call to an army of liberal artist to start generating artwork that would support the new administration's policies they were trying to bulldoze through us. If you love art, this is awful, if you know art, its called propaganda art and the worst of countries have used it to sway public opinion. Art is suppose to reflect times, artists are fringe elements that observe and decry foul. They are not suppose to be used as an instrument of government. Propaganda art is used by the worst of countries to sway ignorant people. That is a fact.

Now, about Farms and Farming

A new Ag Czar, is being appointed and will tell farms (farmers and ranchers) what they will be able to grow.

Are we all becoming zombies in this? I thought Farmers and Ranchers were the backbone of this country. We will get what we deserve if we do not look into these issues and contain them for the next three years. With respect to the above, please copy and paste it into your own emails and use your email list and alert your fellow Americans and let them decide. We cannot rely on just the heartland of the USA to hold back this tide of completely wrong ideas being thrust upon us.

Recommended Reading is Michele Malkin's book which describes much of what you are not getting on news, even from Conservatives , as things are moving too fast and there is so much to cover. What's nice is that Michele is a person of ethnicity and her father was an immigrant. What more could you want except freedom?

ONE LAST THING - Because you are on local harvest it usually means one has attained a lifestyle that can afford many of the things that are good and wonderful in life. It took money and hard work. Under the new laws of the land, should they go through, there will never be the the opportunities for our children and especially grandchildren to attain the American Dream - become even a millionaire. Please just think about that. No more passion for life. Just Dull, wandering, pathetic lifeless dreary hours of sameness wandering around our affordable housing project (do you really think that we will be able to build a McMansion of wood if we are conserving/ecology minded/Green?). Yes, we will be waiting in the same clinic lines with a number alongside others who wished they'd helped fellow Americans instead of accepting a fate due the lazy. But we've already accepted that so I am moving swiftly forward if not to just catch up to the next round of astounding backroom deals.

I am not an alarmist, never have been, but are we sitting back like a nation that cannot even think that it could happen to us? There are other countries that have relied on "the other guy" - the world to get them out of "it", and it was a mistakened idea. There was great suffering. That is real history and that history is fast forwarding and they are painting us against our will and changing us without missing a beat.

That our Green Czar is a self proclaimed Communist is just a fact. I seriously don't know how to present this one without sounding like a page out of Orwell's book, "1984". And an alarmist, so I won't.

Please (pretty please with sugar on top) begin the process of containment of these issues even if it cost us a whole lot of time and emails to friends.

Let's energize and realize and contain the misled leadership for the next three years so we can get on with the job of living.

Healthcare - A Doctor's View

President Obama said the A.M.A (American Medical Association)"...supports his healthcare program".

What President Obama isn't saying is that only 17% of the American physicians workforce belongs to the AMA.

Is it unfair and dishonest not to tell us the full truth in an issue this important?

Also not said by President Obama about Healthcare Bill: Across America, in or out of the AMA, doctors oppose the healthcare plan 2 to 1.

Is Obama's version of the truth mightily stretched - or cut down to a snippet so we get a TV snapshot of the real truth?

What Obama also hides is that: 45% of our precious, life-saving doctors are considering retiring if the healthcare bill is passed.

Does that sound like Physicians, with their advanced educations and exhaustive American University academics and OJT think Obama's a great thinker?

That's three things that change your view on things. It's like having a child around that thinks, no, believes not telling the full truth to the American public is not lying. Joe Wilson finally had enough during Obama's speech about how illegal immigrants will game the system under the healthcare bill. Joe Wilson called Obama a liar. Was Obama a liar? Was Obama lying to a nation just to win, regardless of the outcome?

And One More Thing: What does it say when Obama tells us that 47 million newly-insured will not stress out our healthcare system or create rationing? Well, you decide: add 47 million new patients to an existing system. You know what - lets put this in context:

What is a number like 47 million? Well, for one, Alaska has less than a half a million people and very roughly one physician per 600 people (year 2000 data from http://bhpr.hrsa.gov/healthworkforce/reports/statesummaries/alaska.htm)

So lets clear all the people and their own doctors from Alaska - the half million (actually its closer to somewhere between 300-400 thousand total state population) - and put them down on a tropical island - and stick the 47 MILLION in Alaska instead. BOOM. Look around. There are no doctors. There are no doctors. There is one hell of line of people waiting for just one doctor. That line of 47 million people stretches around the world, shoulder-to-shoulder (25,000 miles around the equator x 5280 feet per mile divided by 47 million people = 2.8 feet per person (shoulder to shoulder)). Now that's a line waiting for one physician to show up. A line of people, shoulder-to-shourlder, completely around the world - waiting for one doctor to treat them.

So lets take away doctors from Alaskans and send those doctors back to Alaska - to the 47 million people. The ratio of one doctor for six hundred Alaskans has changed now, that's certain. The new ratio is 47 million people divided about 700 doctors (to be on the conservative side). That's about 7 doctors for ever HALF A MILLION PEOPLE. 7 doctors per 500,000 people.

And it leaves the doctor's previous patients - yes, on their balmy tropical island - but with no medical care and dying like flies from common, treatable issues.

Is this fair? To tell us there will be no rationing, etc.?

I think the answer's pretty clear.

One More Thing: If, after Healthcare is passed, half the doctors QUIT out of disgust for his programs like they said they would, what will that do?

Just how gullible does Obama think we are now? He actually thinks the American public is stupid. Stupid. That's an insult to us all. Who will invest 16 years in medical school? Will we be forced to import doctors from sub-schooled countries such as Mexico to treat you? And will Obama create a monitary incentive plan for MD's and, of course, then control them. "Hey, I got yer paycheck here, kiddo. You work for the bureacracy now. And in order for us to fulfill our commitment to your fat paycheck we need to cut some corners. You know, the stuff we don't talk about because Palin gets all over it? Aw, com'mon. Give me a high-fiver. Is that a pout I see?. Give us a smile."

Give me, GIVE US oh liberals, another alternative. I'm listening. We are all listening.

And we can hear a pin drop. It's the lies, isn't it? He lied to you, too. It's a mess, I know.

How Socialist Are We? Give Us A Sign.

Well, for those who cannot read our newspapers or understand English news, many are returning to their own socialist country.

I mean, why bother? At least in Mexico you know EVERYBODY'S into graft and corruption.

From my own Experience

First, and I think the most important truth you will find undeniable and not "my experience" is the 283 million dollar shortfall for the Federal government from reduction in fees from immigrants applying for USA citizenship.

And why bother? What’s in it for immigrants now? More Socialism? More of the same?

Even legal and illegal immigrants see the end game - a THING they “fled” for a better way. Almost all, without exception, are uneducated - but experienced in a hard life - a life they no longer wanted. And by uneducated I don’t mean they don’t have a college degree.

So let’s see:

No education but experienced in a hard life, and socialism, and the elite corrupt structure it encourages - and leaving the USA under a new administration that promises socialism. What does that really tell us? No academics, nada, not even English-speaking, but fleeing the mere specter of Obama’s Vision. Take a wild guess.

Secondly- When I go to UPS there are no more - AND I MEAN NO MORE farm workers sending money back to Mexico. And normally, on a payday there is a line of 4 or five people throughout the day. They are either gone or saving. You choose.

Thirdly - there'a no more sending of fake documentation back to Mexico. How do I know? Because I speak the language, I see them photocopying "drivers' licenses", including it with various other “documents”. Hear the whispered conversations.

Sub point - our local DMV was found to have provided license to way too many people courtesy of some higher- ups - I think it was one of the mayors’ wives of some city who worked at the DMV.

So again, uneducated people from a country riddled with corruption, greed and socialism (aren’t the two suppose to be mutually exclusive?) are leaving the US.

At least in Mexico, I guess, they have family. But to continue the Socialism aspect of this....and please - SHOUT THIS NEXT SECTION for me!:

Getting Around Healthcare for Illegals

First - this is not about race, or about my place - or a need for migrant farm workers. It's about a nation.

There will be one way and one way only to get around keeping healthcare / socialized medicine from those gaming the system. And because Obama has depended upon a certain type of person to vote for him, I don't think he is going to let them down. And there's only one way to accomplish this if all other bases are covered:

Blanket Amnesty for illegal immigrants. Make them Citizens.

I see no other alternative other than the same old under the radar scenario: go to emergency care in the middle of the night for a owwie, stand in line with LEGAL immigrants at the clinics knowing staff will not check status.

That is what is currently done. God bless their souls, they have helped bring California to its knees trying to help them but somewhere, something has got to give - and a country should take care of their own. If they are US citizens, let's take care of them. If the are Mexican citizens, let the great country of Mexico open their arms.

Healthcare for Kids - A Doctor's View

This , on the morning of President Obama's most important speech for his bill, seemed more approriate than trying to convince you that our farm was worth buying fruit from. This is about the future of a nation, not passion fruit.

It was sent to me by my cousin, who is ret. Airforce, Ret. MD and he is passing along something from a physician who he as worked with along the way.

Thought this was very informative for my Republican and Democrat friends. Many of you that work at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, know and have worked with Dr. Pollard. You’ll see he is quite passionate about this subject. I think we all need to be better informed about this. Please feel free to pass along.

If we have doubts, the email below should help clear them. It comes from an Atlanta doctor who just could not sit back and be quiet any longer. If the below lines which are in the body of the letter concerns you, the letter will too.

"What I am driving at is, those with money will NOT be able to go to the head of the line - under this new healthcare plan - just because you have money, as no physician will be willing to go against the [new] law to treat you."

Friends:

I have been sitting quietly on the sidelines watching all of this national debate on healthcare. It is time for me to bring some clarity to the table and as your friend by explaining many of the problems from the aspect of a doctor.

First off the government has involved very few of us physicians in the healthcare debate.While the American Medical Association has come out in favor of the plan, it is vital to remember that the AMA only represents 17% of the American physician workforce.

I have taken care of Medicaid patients for 35 years while representing the only pediatric ophthalmology group left in Atlanta , Georgia that accepts Medicaid.Why is this. For example, in the past 6 months I have cared for three young children on Medicaid who had corneal ulcers. This is a potentially blinding situation because if the cornea perforates from the infection, almost surely blindness will occur. In all three cases the antibiotic needed for the eradication of the infection was not on the approved Medicaid list. Each time I was told to fax Medicaid for the approval forms which I did. Within 48 hours the form came back tome which was mailed in immediately via fax and I was told that I would have my answer in 10 days. Of course by then each child would have been blind in the eye. Each time the request came back denied. All three times I personally provided the antibiotic for each patient which was not on the Medicaid approved list. Get the point-rationing of care.

Over the past 35 years I have cared for over 1000 children born with congenital cataracts. In older children and in adults the vision is rehabilitated with an intraocular lens. In newborns we use contact lenses which are very expensive. It takes Medicaid over one year to approve a contact lens post cataract surgery. By that time a successful anatomical operation is wasted as the child will be close to blind from a lack of focusing for so long a period of time. Again extreme rationing. Solution- I have a foundation here in Atlanta supported 100% by private funds which supplies all of these contact lenses for my Medicaid and illegal immigrants children for free. Again waiting for the government would be disastrous.

Last week I had a lady bring her child to me.They are Americans but live in Sweden as the father has a job with a big corporation. The child had the on set of double vision 3 months ago and has been unable to function normally because of this. They are people of means but are waiting 8 months to see the ophthalmologist in Sweden . Then if the child needed surgery they would be put on a 6 month waiting list. She called me and I saw her that day. It turned out that the child had accommodative esotropia (crossing of the eyes treated with glasses that correct for farsightedness) and responded to glasses within 4 days , no surgery was needed. Again rationing of care.

Last month I operated on a 70 year old lady with double vision present for 3 years. She responded quite nicely to her surgery and now is symptom free. I also operated on a 69 year old judge with vertical double vision. His surgery went very well and now he is happy as a lark. I have been told - but of course there is no healthcare bill that has been passed yet that these 2 people because of their age would have been denied surgery and just told to wear a patch over one eye to alleviate the symptoms of double vision. Obviously cheaper than surgery.

I spent two years in the US Navy during the Viet Nam war and was well treated by the military. There was tremendous rationing of care and we were told specificially what things the military personnel and their dependents could have and which things they could not have. While in Viet Nam , my wife Nancy got sick and got essentially no care at the Naval Hospital in Oakland , California . She went home and went to her family's private internist in Beverly Hills . While it was expensive, she received an immediate work up. Again rationing of care.

For those of you who are over 65, this bill in its present form might be lethal for you. People in England over 59 cannot receive stents for their coronary arteries. The government wants to mimic the British plan. For those of you younger, it will still mean restriction of the care that you and your children receive.

While 99% of physicians went into medicine because of the love of medicine and the challenge of helping our fellow man, economics are still important. My rent goes up 2% each year and the salaries of my employees goes up 2% each year. Twenty years ago ophthalmologists were paid $1800 for a cataract surgery and today $500. This is a 73% decrease in our fees. I do not know of many jobs in America that have seen this lowering of fees.

But there is more to the story than lower fees. When I came to Atlanta there was a well known ophthalmologist that charged $2500 for cataract surgery as he felt he was the best. He had a terrific reputation and in fact I had my mother's bilateral cataracts done by him with wonderful result. She is now 94 and has 20/20 vision in both eyes. People would pay his $2500 fee. However then the government came in and said that any doctor that does medicare work can not accept more than the going rate ( now $500) or he or she would be severely fined. This put an end to him charging $2500. The government said it was illegal to accept more than the “government allowed” rate. What I am driving at is, those with money will not be able to go to the head of the line under this new healthcare plan just because you have money as no physician will be willing to go against the law to treat you.

I am a pediatric ophthalmologist, trained 10 years post college to become a pediatric ophthalmologist ( add two years of service in the Navy.. 12 years). A neurosurgeon spends 14 years post college and if he or she has to do the military, that equals 16 years. I am not entitled to make what a neurosurgeon makes but the new plan calls for all physicians to make the same amount of payment. I assure you that medical students will not go into neurosurgery and we will have a tremendous shortage of neurosurgeons. Already the top neurosurgeon at my hospital who is in good health and only 52 years old has just quit because he can't stand working with the government anymore. Forty-nine percent of children under the age of 16 in the state of Georgia are on medicaid so he felt he just could not stand working with the beaurocracy anymore. We have been misled about the uninsured. They are getting care. I operate on at least 2 illegal immigrants each month who pay nothing to me orthe children's hospital in which I operate...This is true not only of Atlanta, but of every community in America.

The bottom line is that I urge all of you to contact your congresswomen and congressmen and senators to defeat this bill. I promise you that you will not like rationing of your own health.

Furthermore, how can you trust a physician that works under these draconian conditions? They essentially work for the state!.

One last thing, with this new healthcare plan there will be a tremendous shortage of physicians. It has been estimated that approximately 5% of the current physician work force will quit. Also it is estimated that another 5% shortage will occur because of decreased men and women wanting to go into medicine. At the present time the US government has mandated gender equity in admissions to medical schools .That means that for the past 15 years that somewhere between 49 and 51% of each entering class are females. This is true of private schools also because all private schools receive federal fundings. The average career of a woman in medicne now is only 8-10 years and the average work week for a female in medicine is only 3-4 days. I have now trained 35 fellows in pediatric ophthalmology. Hands down the best was a female that I trained 4 years ago. She was head and heels above all others I have trained. She now practices only 3 days a week.

Are The Nation's Farmworkers Getting Medical

I had forgotten about this issue but I though it important for today’s speech by the President and I had already posted last night. I hope no one thinks I'm trying to take up too much space.

We live in the heart of Lemon, Avocado and Strawberry production for the nation. We have a large population from south of the border that picks your fruit.

People often wonder - because of the media hype about "...the 47 million uninsured... are they being taken care of" - who is paying the bills.

I will give you my two experiences with health care that set, in my mine, that the immigrant population, legal or illegal, are not suffering without health insurance.

About a year and a half ago I though I was having a heart attack because I was suffocating - I could not breath. We went to emergency at our community hospital at about 2 in the morning. Ahead of me was a farm worker in a straw cowboy hat, bleeding, that could not speak english (I speak spanish) who was inebriated and looked as if he had been beaten, and a female Indios, also who could not speak English who was about to give birth. She pretty much lost her water on the spot so it was definitely an emergency. I was, I though, having a heart attack, couldn’t breath, but I could wait. Its wasn’t a long wait.

Fast forward to the doc giving me my big fat sedative and making life peaceful for a fellow just having a panic attack (I have no idea why - I have a nice life). I asked the doctor about the two patients before me - this was a young doctor, of Asian descent - if this (the obviously uninsured using resources) is pretty common, and he said, “It goes on all night long”.

I don't think he was real happy from the way he looked around to see if anyone was listening. Perhaps this young Asian doctor who spoke better english than I, sees, day to day, something all of us don't from our ivory towers. And the Administration knows that.

I should mention that one homeless man, obviously well aquainted with the security guard, walked in with some ailment, too. White dude, acted like he owned the place, sat down, ate a Twinkie from his pocket.

Emergency care ain’t cheap. And someone took care of us. Me with my faux heart attack, a pregnat person, an indigent eating a Twinkie, and the bloodied up drunk farm hand with the straw cowboy hat. So don’t let people try to convince you that people aren’t being cared for if they don't have insurance. We had insurance and the other three likely did not. All in the same place, all received immediate attention.

People go to emergeny service all the time when they don't have insurance. That's how its done. No appointments and they don't care if you don't have insurance - only if you do.

And we, you and I, are bearing the burden of that already.

What Nationalizing public health might do is have us all going in the dark of night to emergency so we can get that excellent care and not have to wait in the new lines. But will the doctor's be allowed to be so nice to us all? There will be rules, lots of rules.

The second example is that our hospitals are taking care of pregnant uninsured as I spent some time in the maternity ward this past year as our family was having one baby of its own (yeah!). Rest assured, the uninsured pregnant immigrant legals or illegals are being cared for here too. I know that sounds like I might have a grudge on having to pick up the cost of this - and you do also - but I fail to see how Nationalizing Health Care will change any of this. Can you? Will the newly "insured" go to a better hospital? If so, we will have to build it because we already were at the best hospital and it's rated as excellent. Written by John

Green Czars Resume

They say he's gone but don't believe it. It makes me upset - what the White House said after they let him go (oh, that's right, "he resigned").

I'm upset for a couple of reason and the first is that Van Jones matriculated into the White House through the back door - or at least SOMEBODY requested they skip the vetting process. That he was in charge of such a wonderful word - Green - which is now being corrupted by association if the Administration and Big Business interest isn't more careful. That he made such racist remarks about white people (farmers) spraying chemicals specifically on minorities upsets me because I am a farmer and he implies that all (only?) white farmers do this (none do this or they have a lawsuit waiting at their door when they get home at night). So he selected/sidelined and besmirched my way of life, and he made a racist remark in one fell swoop. And let me add that if he even had one clue, he would realize that my way of life, from dawn till dusk, is regulated by state and federal laws much more than he.

That he is-was a avowed anarchist, nationalist, and Marxist-Communist? True. He said so. How did this happen to Obama?

Quote from a newspaper:

"Jones' second mea culpa comes after a Wednesday apology in which Jones said he uttered "offensive words" in February (2009) when he called Republicans "assholes." He (Obama) said the remarks "do not reflect the views of this administration" and its bipartisan aims".

Yet, the Obama Administration states, even after Van Jones admitted to all, that Van Jones (all of the above), will continue to work with the White House.

Can you believe it?? The audacity? Would you hire Jones to manage your small business?

This only tells me that we have an Elitist group in the White House that will not listen to a Nation. They, elitist, INSIST, over common sensibilities, that their thoughts and desires about a new way of life are never wrong. And it's GOOD CHANGE. That's elitist. That's why we are SUPPOSE TO HAVE a debate and the three branches of government. So government cannot become elite. They are our public servants, for gods sake.

This isn't a religion being hijacked, this is an entire country. Your America. Ours, not theirs to experiment with - with our lives.

So keep Van Jones' resume in the back of your mind and put it alongside the various Czars as they start to pop up. Not all are this inflammatory for the Administration, just some. But when you place Van Jones past and present along side the fact that he also sat in a church with Rev. Wright who spewed hate toward America and known for his racist remarks for 20 years "and he never noticed", and was associated with a radical that BOMBED the Pentagon and served time for it (so you know a jury convicted him, not the press), and that he emerged from the most corrupt (remember Bologovich and Chicago?) political machinery - WHOOPS - I made a mistake! That's not Van Jones! It's some other guy. Well, anyway, you get what I mean.

Keep it in mind also when you're standing in line at a walk-in clinic because Nationalized Health policies were enacted, "...swiftly to save the nation's poor" and those new laws put your private health insurance company out of business because it was no longer competitive.

On Monday I am going to post comments from the left and right I received concerning the fact that the National Endowment for the Arts is being used by Washington to have pro-Obama artwork that support his policies produced. The NEA doles out money for art - it's suppose to be non-partisan.

I sent about 100 emails to artists in my area about this issue - propaganda art, and posted on Craigslist specifically under "Artists" and received 5 replies, 3 left, 2 right. You will be shocked - as I was - of what thoughts are inside the heads left-thinking artists. Or, as you will likely find out, the lack of true reality or rational thought.

Jumping Blind Off Cliffs

As much as I dislike mentioning it, it really is government and consumer demand driving much of the destruction of our plant and animal life in the eco systems on land and in our precious oceans.

I am a farmer with knowledge of it . Because I know, and because I have no power to change this relationship, I feel terrible. And I'd like to talk about it and create a future with you personally. So we can help each other get out of this Catch 22.

Will this farm lose a customer if they read this? I don't think so because most are recognizing that ignorance about our planet is catching up to us at the speed of two coal-burning power plants per week via China.

Consumers have every right to be selective - ask for sound, healthy and good-looking food but to prove my point briefly, our nation has a weight problem. What caused it was good-looking and good-tasting food, high in additives and trans-fats and has nice photography and salesmanship/marketing behind it. I have, twice a month, a big mac attack myself. And I satisfy it and nothing stands it that journey's way.

I need to explain this from a farmer’s perspective - this entire issue of food vs. the environment.

It wasn’t but a few generations ago that America was a nation of farmers - 70 percent of the population was farming and supplied the city folk. It is reversed now and in Ventura County we represent only 2 percent of the population trying to supply for 98 percent - the city folk. We also supply much of the nations avocados and lemons.

That puts a tremendous amount of pressure on each farm to do its duty to supply the 98 percent of the people around them. The pressure comes from all sides: the government regs, imports, trying to satisfy the farmers own needs, water conservation, people raiding her orchards -theft by individuals and organized rings - the need for fencing, rodent control, nutrition for the food, weed control, requirements for crews to pick the fruit, insurance such as workman's compensation - even for the fake claims, fear of lawsuits from all sides, and a host of tiny things farms contend with - just like people in other professions have their job-related issues. What drives the pollution the most is the consumer demand for perfect looking fruit and the goverment trying to protect the consumer from farmers trying to give the consumer perfect looking fruit. It really is that simple. You, me, the goverment. Well, almost that simple.

Now imagine the manufacturing that sits under each of the issues like a lurking, submerged iceberg - it is the sub-structures - the work force and their cars and trucks and forklifts, a packing house, land for the packing house, parking lots covered with asphalt to park the cars for the people who drive them to the packing house, ditto the pesticide and herbicide plant, the mining and smelting and transportation required to create an infrastructure just to get fruit from the farm and across the nation.

Lets use one example - fences - as at one time, they weren’t required too much. You need fence posts, either wood or steel/ anodize aluminum. If its wood it needs to be treated, and up until a few years ago, almost all the wood was treated with Arsenic to keep the rot away. It takes a mining operation and kilns to make arsenic, and explosives and trucking and dozers (all with their own mining operation and manufacturing to make those trucks and dozers). Up until a few years most farmers around here didn't feel the need for fencing but the theft because its now “organized” and people are losing sometimes up to $30,000 at a whack from their avocado orchards when on vacation, now are fencing off orchards. Some orchards are on hills and fill canyons so it is not hard to imagine how to get in and out when there is a canopy of leaves hiding this. This isn’t consumer driven yet but it will - to fence and hire security if needed, take up the sheriff's time (tax dollars and jail crowing) and in fact a special unit was hired until the state (calif) ran out of funds for it. So theft increases and fencing off orchards does also. Fencing off 40 acres takes tens of thousands of dollars. When a crew cuts through it it takes another crew to repair it. How is this a consumers' issue? Good-Looking Fruit for the Retailer.

Now you have a fence and a fence keeps out predators like coyotes and protects its prey - and locally its coyote and bobcat verses for critter control. Now we are into more more issues that doesn’t do well for oceans. Enter the consumer demand for perfect-looking fruit vs. the predator/prey relationship.

As this topic is going to be long, I will post the local predator - prey issue tomorrow and when most of the topics are addressed one by one, day by day, I think you will see that much of the eco-issues are consumer and government driven. And yes, we have our fair share of the burden too. And there will be a final recommendation that will go to Washington

Epiphany on Water Boarding

I was sitting at the boob tube watching news and I had an incredible epiphany: The reason President Obama now says water boarding is torture, oh, sheesh, I am so excited I can’t put two words together - it make so much sense...made me laugh out loud as I came out of my seat! One big Ha!

You see, globally, if water boarding is torture and water boarding’s merely a hazing plus a little, then we (He), couldn’t possibly want to hurt (hurt?) civilians on purpose, in a war. After all, our new philosophy says. "... pushing someone’s head under water or dribbling it on them twice a month under a doctor’s supervision, EVEN IF THE SECURITY OF THE UNITED STATES IS AT STAKE, is unconscionable " - so how could anyone think we could do something like hurt (hurt?) civilians even if they were harboring terrorist? Even if we have to?

Do you see the genius? Gosh, almighty. Sheer genius! It's teflon. Nothing sticks. Total exoneration. Except for the guy in the jet who dropped the bomb on his command. He gets all the sticky.

(As mentioned elsewhere, it is likely more journalist have been water boarded than enemy combatants. It is also known that more U.S. Servicemen have been water boarded in defense of their country than “enemy combatants”.)

So what’s going on on the farm? Nothing. It’s hot. And dry and we had to empty all the fountains because the bees inundated us as all the natural water sources are gone. And they tried to come down two chimneys because of the cool air inside and we can't buy a decent dampener as California has regulations against the old ones that kept bees out. And the whiny contractor would lose his license - according to the permit for the dampener - if he fixed the old ones.

But everything’s OK because of the bailout. Even if we had to start fires in two fireplaces to keep the bees out - on a 90 degree afternoon. We had to burn wood chips off the front yard because who the hell has wood for May? And it was a pretty big emergency. You simply cannot make things like this up. It's life. Any farmer will tell you so.

North of us, Santa Barbara is burning down (no, really, it's burning), the day temps in Santa Barbara hit over a hundred degrees and broke an old record made a long time ago. That record was 86 degrees. This new record isn't one or two degrees like most records get broke, folks, its 14 (that's fourteen) degrees more. Now if that’s not change, I don’t know what is. :) And if you try to pass this off on Bush, just keep reminding yourself that Americans have been the world's (as in globally, as in "on the face of that blue marble hanging in space") largest consumer of the earth's precious natural resources for many, many, MANY decades and they still can't get enough cheap "Made in China" or Hecho en Mexico. Or cell phones. Hey, don't kill the messenger, I'm a friendly guy! Go yell at:

Illegal Immigrants and Healthcare

Eighty three (83%) percent of America is happy with their health care. One does not change an entire system with bad policy just to support about 15-18 percent of people, of which most are illegal immigrants. That’s just lousy fiscal policy and creates bigger government. The government cannot make money, only spend it and creating a huge government means huge spending with no source of income except taxation. And they always underestimate, don't they? It gets the votes and then come their excuses. You do get a two-fer they don't talk about: The actual bills from overindulgence of health care benefits and the mega buildings and office space (rents required) and new government jobs to oversee the pillaging of the system. If government could do a good job, they already would have. Simple.

Short and sweet - illegal immigration is costing California health care a huge percent of the budget (what budget - it is nearly bankrupt or is bankrupt). California usually leads the way and as you can see, leading the way is not a good thing. Your state is next if not already there.

One huge issue is the anchor babies illegals have which gives them immediate citizenship. This anchor baby can support an entire family of illegal immigrants via "the system" so please do not be dismayed that our illegal aliens are not being covered. It is your state and federal dollars that support these families and some goes back to Mexico to support another family. It creates a burden on the emergency care in our hospitals as they use the system of the hospitals for minor issues also and therefore stay under the radar. They stand in lines at clinics that legal immigrants use and nobody bothers to check their status. It is a common compliant so this is not new news to anyone. Just a reminder.

As I mentioned in another spot, if you are an elderly illegal immigrant you do not have to show citizenship, you just have to show that you are not a citizen of another country by merely by saying, "I don't remember where I was born" and you can have a bed in an old folks home next to a Veteran of any of our wars. It's a great country we have - that we can do this - but what about that verses the so called Death Counselling that has to take place for our legal elderly now that the system was brought down by this massive spending on illegal immigrants in California? All if the Obama healthcare policies are realized? Steal from Peter who built this nation - our folks - and give it to those who are here criminally? Not my folks. No way.

Am I racially insensitive - no - (its about illegal immigrants) - financially astute and astute to the gaming the American system of mercy? More than most because I am a farmer, and we have family in the medical proffessions - from M.D.s to RN’s and union contacts (retired and high up in the food chain)

Please write your friends and political leaders and help get us back on the right track instead of this self-cannabalism America is undertaking. You can't make money by printing it. The cycle will collapse. FDR extended the depression by doing what the current administration is doing, and other countries are abandoning their own socialism ideals because it became a lofty but bad experiment.

It’s nice to have food. That’s where everybody agrees. There are people who don’t eat meat and some that do, some, like myself, who don’t like Lima beans or certain generic brands of vegetables tasting like paper. And I like chocolate. A lot. But it’s not a necessity, and I can afford peanut butter cups and I think its a downright luxury to have a “cold one” (peanut butter cup) waiting for me in the refrigerator any time, night or day. Even if it eats up a blip of a watt of electricity.

I previously discussed a Czar who was given an OK to leave his post.

The following is purely fiction because Czars are not beholding to the US citizen so there would be no public record, so we have to guess:

So back to farming and my reality, This farm. This attack on white farmers was pretty vicious and I am sure that if the shoe were on the other foot, the ACLU would be all over this one and American Farmers would have a huge class action suit and win it hands down.

I wrote the above in response to one fellow who wanted to know what my previous “blog” on LHarvest had to do with food and then he DIRECTED me to get my own blog. Directed? Are we all getting the flavor of what it would be like to live surrounded by this sort of attitude to free speech? A little scary for a so-called free country. And I certainly would like the American public to know that, too.

One more thing - Green Jobs. They are a good thing. If you knew, like we know, with boots on the ground 24/7 the issues in having “green” things like wind power generators, you would be shocked to find out some of it is hype for a short lived event for two, and it is so difficult that it’s not worth it for at least a ten acre farm to have even one.

Short lived event - there is just so much land and room for wind generators, or it requires special placement and it is possible that you could FORCE someone to put towers up - but PLEASE RECALL that a Kennedy KEPT AN ENTIRE WIND MACHINES FARM OUT of his line of sight and off the map because they would ruin his view of the ocean - or something like that. The fact remains, still, that this generator farm...

"...would be the first major offshore wind installation in the U.S., and one of the largest wind farms in the world. It would produce enough electricity to meet nearly 75 percent of demand on Cape Cod and nearby islands Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, with peak output of 420 megawatts."

We, our farm, wanted to get a wind generator back in 1997 but a plethora of BIG issues stood in the way, too -

1. It takes a permit for a wind generator and that permit would take many dollars to buy, and then it would have to be just so high, and it would have any number of issues attached to it. And those issues would take meetings and lawyers and more money for us.

2. Assuming it would go through, and was up and running, you now find out, that the hype you heard, about selling the excess power back to the Utility company was wrong. They would not do that when we started. Therefore the hyped break-even point for buying a wind generator, about 15 years - would make us dead - or signing papers with the Death Panel at the time if you go with the stats and everybody has their way. No satisfaction there, either. And not only are we still in the hole, we are IN THE HOLE. Pointless, even for couple of local yokel paradigm shifters.

3. There already is an infrastructure (buildings, salaries, vehicles) in place in Utility companies that requires a certain amount of revenue and profit to stay in business.

4. What all this selling of power back to the power companies has meant is that their profits will go down, they will be compelled to keep their shareholders at bay, required to raise the rate for electricity - to keep in business. That's higher rates for everyone. With wind power generators. But the green job to build it is there. And unless you have that green job, your realized profit after paying more for electricity, is now less. But you saved the globe for the Chinese to plunder with impunity (they are now creating two coal power electrical plants a week).

5. If you ever heard one of those wind generators, you wouldn’t want to live next to one. We would have lawsuits all over us, probably by the city we were giving power to. And then the environmentalists would lawsuit us for killing birds that flew into the blades. And if some graffiti artist should, heaven forbid, hurt themselves on it, stub a toe, another lawyer would pop out the earth and sue us for creating an Attractive Nuisance.

Example: You leave a tractor parked out in the middle of your property and if a kid can see it from the road and wants to play on it and hurts themselves - that is an attractive nuisance. Fence or no fence.

Obama's Vision Has.....

I hope he's right, but it sounds like trickle down "therapy" only because all the big guys are getting the immediate bailout/breaks - and the hope is this will save jobs - eventually (eventual = trickle down).

Obama admits they are not sure it's going to work and WILL need more $$$$ - already.

On the other hand, the banks are getting recapitalized to save housing for those who were overextended. And as long as banks do what they are suppose to do, that part should work - and reward those who should not have overextended. Reward lousy businessmanship. Running a family is a business unless you didn't get the heads up. It's warm and fuzzy, but it's still a business. Oh? You say we made them victims of greedy brokers? VICTIMS?? Sheesh.

I hope it works. Can't say I see anything in there for those who have done a good job. Like you and me. Don't need it, do we.

Although I think he thinks he's right, he reminds me of a person who buys land (the presidency) with almost no knowledge of agriculture then a saleman says that he needs a tractor to be a good farmer. You get to tear up the land but you need to plant something. Need to know the lay of the land and climate and a few other things. Instead of going out and buying a tractor to stimulate your land with its good looks. The tractor - the shiny paint looks great sitting out there on the land. But it needs a knowledgeable driver. Then you need water and someone to buy your product and transportation and all the things that an independent businessman and woman KNOW through economic battery already - they know failures - that eventually led them to success.

A nation living on handouts is not one swelling with pride (the little train that could) it is one of begging, one with their tail between their legs - and I don't necessarily want to see that - us go to China (who knowingly poisions us, the ocean, its people, its everything) begging to get economic traction. How soon are we going to lose all pride and be subjugated by another nation(s) way of life. We are already so tied up and intestinally bound by political correctness - hey, wait - that's what led to the housing crisis! Letting people have what they think they are entitled to. We were so politically correct in that thinking....that everybody deserves a home. We let some organization with its own agenda push lenders around - like China will do us if we go there. Catch 22. And if you think China is going to lend us money - or back our paper - and ALSO encourage us to build our own manufacturing plants so we can buy American, I have a coupon to a shrink for whoever buys that picture.

Its the same reason we don't have a wall between us and Mexico - we need their oil and they need to send their population here to "farm" dollars back to them (money from USA to Mexico is Mexico's second largest industry - oil is the first). This is why we don't have a disciplined farm worker program - which is needed.

That's where this is leading - if we're not there already. Catch 22.

President Obama can blame Bush for everything up to the days the stock market plummeted thousands of points: - when the stimulus package began to be viewed with a jaundiced eye by the nation and Wall Street. It is the people with money - people like you - that helps create jobs - not the people on welfare (God bless them but right now our asses are on fire and we need to get them off welfare or if they don’t belong here put them where they do belong. The state of California, with its 47 billion dollar deficit, can immediately lose 20 percent (that's twenty percent) of it by doing something with its illegal aliens - that is just one example and like everyone who watches the news knows, California leads the nation in just about everything . Want that in your state? Twenty percent drained away? TWENTY PERCENT!!! For California that’s about 9 Billion dollars every year.

Please recall that although Bush “inherited” the terrorist mess from Clinton, like a man and a gentleman warrior, Bush never said ONE WORD about what he inherited from President Clinton. He didn’t Blame Clinton for 9-11. He didn't say one word about inheriting a CRISIS and a small pack of terrorist that grew their ideals into a global war. NOT ONE WORD!! Yet all the new administration can say is, Crisis and Blame and Inherited. Crisis, Blame, Inherited. Crisis, Blame Inherited. That is what a scared bureaucracy sounds like. That is how this one is beginning to function.

The Obama administration is setting up the American people to accept their failure (if it should fail) via "the previous administration’s fault". How unbelievably nonadult:. And put this one in the pipe, too: buracrates are not particularly good at making money for us. Only spending it. That equals taxation no matter how you try to over-exercise it. Or you can go the other route and print money. So buy stock in an ink factory if you believe it. And you think inflation is great.

I really hope I'm so completely wrong. I really do. I want this President to be so, so so (really, I do) successful but not by making us beg from the world market to feed ourselves. Shame on us if we do.

And one more thing, President Obama: It's easy to say you are no longer going to have a "no bid" situation for military contracts in Iraq - especially when the conflict has been solved for you. The last thing we wanted to do there was go through a lengthy bidding process with the Senate and Congress taking vacations, weekends off, fillibustering, lobbying - and having American men and women get shot to death all the while. While each state fought over which state was going to get the bid.

Wall Street Collasped

The collapse of Wall Street was predicted in March of 2008 by Dick Morris (Ex-Democrat) in his book "Fleeced", indicating that if Senator Obama were nominated and gained popularity as the election approached, the Stock Market would fall thousands of points due to his anticipated tax policies (because people with money are invested in the stock market - people without money don’t care about the stock market and people with money create jobs). And when and if elected it would plummet , which it has. I am neither for nor against President Obama and certainly would like to see him succeed. 110%.

But if one man, Ex-Democrat Dick Morris (ex-Clinton advisor), can figure this out, it would seem an entire party and a slew of economic advisors might get a clue - at least not to go there.

Foreclosure Rate

Did we just let the poorest of the Americans (god bless 'em but....) buy homes because they couldn’t afford them (which is nice, I guess, but counter-intuitive) and did they single-handedly bring down the global (that's GLOBAL as in earth, the world, all the continents) economy down with the help of a few greedy institutions who parlayed it to confetti?

A Rainy Morn, Dreams, Soldiers and Their Families

Now that the good old days have vanished, we have a future to make for grandkids. So let’s roll up our sleeves....apply all that wisdom we are so fond of ‘splaining we’ve got and get to it while our educated, direct progeny are “Crackbooking” and Istnt msgng.

Do you realize that if we created a dot.org or a corporation and each grandparent donated a dollar to a fund, we could build anything? A privately funded educational institution. That is how many there are of us. I don’t know why it’s so impossible sounding. Everyone can spare one dollar. It’s an idea. That’s all.

I went down Main Street in Ventura, unshaven and in my farm clothes as I had forgotten as I often do in my “spirit walks” and a man gave me a dollar after he asked me if I was OK and kept forcing it on me. I was just window-shopping second-hand stores for antiques or something to paint that looked antique. Minding my own business. Looking longingly at junk. Wearing Carhartts and tennis shoes.

It was that homeless guy who gave me the vision of the Ghengis Khan horde of Grandparents swarming to unify. Do you realize how much we all know - at our age? We could actually show the world we don't have to wait around for government. We could fill it - a steel building with truth - not old farm equipment - about earth sciences to create scientists. With a beautiful telescope that tracked the universe for the internet to see. It could be a place where people in wheel chairs, with canes, and limps, and Veterans could visit and say,

I, I alone, I, a beat up old person, built this. My kids pissed away, and are continuing to piss away hundreds of dollars a month on junk food, wifi andGodknowswhat off the internet. And we, the states people of America didn’t wait around for government to bail us out - did this thing - DURING A DEPRESSION. Without me, and people such as myself, this would never have been done. My grand kids could seek truth because it was there, I put it there. I decided to find fellowship with those of wisdom - and did it. It wasn’t....oops.

A dream. Patti just woke me up.

It’s Monday morning. Rain outside. Lots of it. I hope that hole in my boot somehow sealed during the night.

I’m going to write this because I am a dreamer like all farmers - which is reason to believe that dreams do come true if you work and rework them. Rarely is the first run perfect. No piece of good ground is weedless.

Sometimes, no, OFTEN _____ happens, as it has done in my life and yours, too, I assume. But I have no room to talk.

I had jury duty the other day and sat next to a lady in her mid-sixties, refined, educated, who basically told me, humbly, the story of a life of travel with her husband - worldwide fixing children’s maladies. Then she got to the the moral of her life, her story: She told me that her son-in-law survived a roadside IED (in a Humvee) - Iraq; that he was going back for a second tour this week; that her daughter, married to that fellow, was having a first baby - but doctors found a brain tumor in her daughter; that they had lost a house full of memories in a fire this year. She cried openly over it all. At jury duty. You know this person too, sort of, if you saw the movie, “Mask”. They were part of the team that worked on the young man with the mask.

Little things bother me even less now .

I hope she invites her family to our farm because they, of all people, deserve this place.

Remarkable country we live in, isn’t it? Remarkable people - outside of the exceptions that seem to make the news. God, bless our soldiers. Protect that young Captain, who has already been blow up once, and his men, too - and save his wife for him. So he and she can smell and taste bacon and eggs, know the warmth of a country kitchen on a rainy day like I'm so fortunate to experience. So he can experience, someday, the things he protects for us. That is what I want today. Nothing for me - for that soldier and his wife to both live to dream, too.

What is a Trillion

A trillion is ONE THOUSAND billion. There are only 14 to the edge of the universe.

A trillion dollars is not money in the bank - it is a DEBT we will owe to other countries/cultures who buy it in hopes that it will someday yield more for them. That money (chinese, euros, marks, pesos?) will be thrown up in the air, and on our hands and knees we pick it up off the ground and run out and buy electronic gadgets to stimulate the economy. But then, someday, so the tale goes, we have to pay. And most of us reading this won’t be around or are so old we just watch colorized reruns of Lawrence Welk from a bed. So someone else gets to worry about it.

You could go to the moon and back 2,000,000 times - in miles - to equal a trillion.

Do you think it’s possible or impossible to print a trillion dollars given that said by Senator Mitch McConnell (Kentucky) - which is not disputed: "If you started the day Jesus Christ was born and spent $1 million every day since then, you still wouldn't spend it up to today.”

So this Trillion Dollar Stimulus must be some sort of word-of-mouth or hand shake or something written on a cocktail napkin and slid across a table in a smoky bar in some foreign country. Because we simply don't have it. But people act like it's a pile of gold the USA has to be converted to dollars and spent like a butterfly flutters frivolously about a glade. No. It does not exist. We have to borrow from foreign countries. And we are not going to be treated like foreign countries have been treated by us - where we just gave away and gave away and gave away until we were exhausted. And then we forgive the debt. The countries we borrow from will want their money back plus interest. They will want their pound of flesh. These are not nice people we are going to be borrowing from as you know. They may take the pound of flesh.

Back in our own country, I’m sure that, like all “projects” everything doubles and triples in cost by the time we're done so when the government asks for so-and-so dollars years from now and your kin were willing and able to help pay it with wallet open and hand poised on those bills, don’t be surprised if a son or daughter says, “Yer kidding?" And they break out in a cold sweat.

So lets get back to earth. I am only writing because I have time to research things - many people are out there making a living and trying to make sense of this stimulus issue and raise kids at the same time. I pull weeds all day long, try to kill gophers nicely so PETA does show up at the door. I have a BS in geology, a Masters in Engineering Management and am one class shy of a Masters in Public Administration. I pull weeds and paint over graffiti. Its sane - and insane. And we have no hidden agendas as we certainly would not be writing about arguable things such as this. So stay sane and be safe. I'm going to take a class making chocolates I think.

Swine Flue and Local Issues - Racism

Some are crying racism when it comes to the pandemic just because it comes from Mexico - or South of the border. Locally, we so far have three cases (Ventura County) that just haven't made it to the news - two from Oxnard area - a saturated agricultural area. And those two high school or grammer school children "did not visit Mexico" but live or are exposed to crowded conditions. Whatever that means. It’s all very PC to protect something, I imagine.

The third case, a heavy ag area, came from Saticoy Clinic De El Camino about ten miles from here. You can see it written in the newspaper, the Ventura Star, if you don’t believe me.

According to stats, "...the number of agricultural workers in the U.S. Will grow to about 700,000 by June and peak at 828,000 by September, according to US Department of Agriculture figures.". They will be spreading out across the USA as the crops come in - until fall -to harvest food. Starting right now.

So you decide if you would like to close the border, or listen to President Obama when he says, “The horse is out of the barn”. I think what he means is there is nothing we can do or the ACLU, Mexico, etc ad infinitum will be all over him like a bad habit if we so much as make a twitch toward closing the border. Why is it always them first before us?

I think we have some stake in this, and we should all rethink our views about imports and pandemics and how facile our college students are who USED TO DO ALL THE PICKING IN THE USA DURING THE SUMMER. We really should have lots of college students who are graduating into no jobs available to pick farms across the nation. Hello? Anyone there? That's why summer vacations were made - to pick crops on the family farm and follow the crops. - Not for students on their hands and knees on the pristine sands of Baja, Mexico to puke their guts out. Sigh.

That's a history lesson, not moral judgement. But it does sound like I might be anti-lazy.

We haven’t had one phone call from a college student out of school or work but we do get emails from THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES asking if they can come over and work our farm for next to nothing. Of course, for the time being, they are probably safer if they stayed home.

Because the flu numbers are not making sense we can all keep track them without relying on the politics of things by putting your area and numbers with the swine flu here for the rest to see under comments. County by county (or parish) would be best so there is no state duplication. So Ventura County has 3 so far, our population is 800,000. If you are very very concerned you can email this link to your entire email list and they can check in with their own flu pandemic numbers. I think its better than relying on a horse already out of the barn. One or two horses got to Tennessee as of a few hours ago - Nashville and Knoxville are seeing their first cases.

The ICFBG and the American Dream

We are starting a grass roots, non-green, full stimulus package, hands-out political party called the ICFBG, or Independent Citizens for Bigger Government. If you would like to join you will not have to have a job. It would be better if you had no money otherwise you would not quite feel the compete satisfaction in getting something for nothing, and as a new wave of united independent citizens for a bigger government, we simply do not have to take anymore responsibility for anything. And that's very satisfying. Especially since, as farmers, we shouldn’t have to grow anything by definition - which is the definition of free money. Then we could rely on the rest of the working world - such as the dictatorships in Venezuela - to feed the US citizens. Plus other third world thinking countries that take our money (after lending it to us) and build themselves into superpowers.

Like China did. Like China does. Like China is still doing.

But who wants to be a super power anymore? We made apologies to the whole world and now we have to rely on that apology. No more water boarding, too. This will save our SEALS and other military from having to undergo it - AND WE DO NOT want them desensitized to the warm and fuzzy nature of all-out-war with those who love all-out-war with you, me and your children just fine.

So if you want to join this is what you have to do: Quit your job and go on unemployment. If you are a farmer, stop growing for the nation and just grow for yourself and immediate family; try to think of another name for our new movement as people are getting mixed messages; advise the youth of today that they will never be millionaires - never have that American Dream because if they make somewhere between 60K and 150K a year (these numbers are getting lower by the month) they will certainly not be able to keep much of it.

The cost of everything you need to be successful is going to skyrocket, too. If you want that American Dream you will need to hire more people to work for you, so incrementally, you can get just a bit more - but then workman’s comp is going to go through the roof with carpal tunnel SYNDROME claims which will take a huge slice out that Millionaires Dream; if you want to expand there are no tax credits to expand so you cut your American Dream in half again - and go twice as slow. You are now 45 years old and nearly beaten.

Throw a couple of lawsuits in there where the lawyers make a few bucks off you because the “slip and falls” are already starting to come in with this socialist economy. And you are still one of the few who has anything to sue for. Everyone else has the same existence.

If you want a McMansion forget it, because there's already those who want to level them for affordable housing - for those who cannot afford it due to all of the above. Those who have successfully sued you moved to other countries with the carpal tunnel money.

So what's the point where's initiatives to do better, better ones self, has been removed. Again, what is the point?

If you want to join ICFBG you just have to be prepared to have a new low expectation of the American Dream. Very Low Self Esteem is not essential but good if you are grooming yourself or kids for the future.

The Real, Old Style, Traditional American Dream will, in the future, make you a prisoner of your visions - and you know what unrequited love feels like: Never getting what you want but are willing to work for it; that sick, visceral gut-punch that drags on and on even in your sleep. Deprived of an invigorating life. That is the new "American Dream". The Old Traditional One is Unreachable: Never getting to be that millionaire status. Ever.

So join us, the Independent Citizens for Bigger Government! That way you get some free stuff and still have a modicum of dignity left with the “Independent” part.
